Job Description:

The Advancement Systems Manager has the primary function of managing alumni and donor systems including serving as the project manager for the Raiser's Edge fundraising system; responsibility for maintaining the database and auxiliary modules and software.  S/he also serves as project manager for Blackbaud NetCommunity (BBNC), an integrated online marketing suite. BBNC projects include online donations, event websites and related technology needs, online donor communications, and website updates and technical support. S/he serves as a resource for all UIS issues and as a liaison to the UIS Enterprise Systems Team as well as end-users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The work involves complex report writing, which may require usage of list algebra and/or computed columns. High degree of judgment is involved in establishing accuracy of information and correct coding and integration of data.  Excellent computer skills and understanding of relational databases is necessary in order to discern whether the software systems are operating as expected in particular circumstances. Independent management of time is required, while both coordinating with, and reporting to the Director of Advancement Services for assignments, questions, and feedback on a regular basis. Regularly communicates with both internal and external constituents of the College.
