Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston, a 450-student, 2-campus, PK-8 co-ed school, is seeking an experienced Controller to report to the business and operations officer and manage the accounting staff, overseeing the finance and accounting functions. Responsibilities include general ledger accounting; preparation, analysis and reporting of the monthly and annual financial statements, completion of the annual audits and regulatory submissions, and management of the relationship with the audit firm; student billing and financial aid programs; treasury management; and budgeting.  The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of school business office and/or nonprofit audit experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and leadership; demonstrated technology expertisewith accounting software, (Blackbaud experience preferred); excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written; a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; and the ability to work collaboratively with others.  CPA and MBA strongly preferred.
