MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides data management of Raiser's Edge database. Provide training and technical support to all Raiser's Edge users. Support CEO with scheduling calendar and other appointments. Provide administrative support to the Fund Development team for research, mailings, events, stewardship and other fund raising activities.

PREREQUISITES FOR POSITION (Qualification Standards):

1. Education or training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree and experience working in the non-profit sector preferred. Raiser's Edge/database experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

2. Years of experience in field: Minimum of two years experience in database development required.

3. Special skills or abilities related to position: Implements and supports Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee's fundraising & development software, the Raiser's Edge. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within database development. Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills as well as good customer service skills. Ability to work independently and with a team. Organized and detailed oriented.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Manage and oversee all data activities inside Raiser's Edge. Run regular reports to monitor fund raising activities and generate mailing lists, prospect lists, and donor history reports.

2. Train and support Raiser's Edge users on established data entry standards, running basic queries, creating mailing lists, running reports and donor letters.

3. Maintains strict confidentiality.

4. Develop and implement policy and procedures to protect the integrity and to maintain the quality of the database.

5. Generate requested data, mailing lists, reports and analyses to GSMT staff in suitable formats that may require use of complex query or data export.

6. Acquire new member data export from registrar/membership department regularly. De-dupe and import new member/parent data to Raiser's Edge.

7. Process, research and update retuned mail. Obtain change of address information through direct mail firm or through Raiser's Edge annually. Update contact information of key donors and prospects.

8. Act as a liaison between Development and Accounting to coordinate appeal tagging, gift processing, tracking and reporting of development initiatives.

9. Coordinate the processing of online donations for proper posting and acknowledgement.

10. Assist in the design and distribution of foundation documents, including e-mail blasts to donors, prospects and members. Upload and update e-mails in Emma.

12. Interact with technical consultants and vendors where appropriate.

14. Other projects as assigned by supervisor.

15. Provide support for special events, including maintaining RSVP lists, tracking invitations and attendance in Raiser's Edge, assist with mailings (stuffing and addressing envelopes). This position may be required to work at special events outside of normal business hours on occasion.
