Brief Job DescriptionThe Advancement Services Specialist plays an important role in Development by providing administrative support to the Advancement Office and participates in all fundraising activities including donor and public relations, direct mail appeals and special events by coordination of all data activity. The Advancement Services Specialist will: process donations, prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence, maintain foundation, organization and individual donor database files and produce periodic reports.  

 

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience
  •  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook and Word
  •  Experience with relational database management systems
  • Attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills to interact professionally, diplomatically and productively with colleagues and contacts at all levels 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to do repetitious work, and maintain accuracy 
  • Flexibility to adjust to an ever-changing workload based on the current situation 
  • Minimum two years of college course or equivalent work experience 
  • One year data entry and maintenance experience 
  • One year word processing experience 
  • One year database and spreadsheet experience
