REPORTS TO: Director of Donor & Information Services

DESCRIPTION: This position is the lead donor and information services staff for all aspects of data management as it relates to maintaining the efficiency and integrity of a 60,000+ database. This position works collaboratively with all members of the Advancement Division to support fundraising and communications efforts. During peak times; this position will also assist with registration, confirmation and acknowledgement for events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as a member of the donor services team to identify and recommend database enhancements and plan/implement/streamline processes to maintain efficiency and integrity of a 60,000 plus records and growing Raiser's Edge database
  • Work with the Database Assistant and Data Services Administrator to create and continually evaluate clarity of coding in Raiser's Edge to manage fundraising and stewardship efforts
  • Performs advanced analysis and updates of constituent and gift data and database cleanup
  • Creates complex queries, exports and reports and perform the bulk of the data entry 
  • Monitors the integrity of the information contained in the database and determines how to translate data into usable, actionable information for the formation and execution of fundraising strategies, dashboards and metrics using Crystal Reports and the like.
  • Work with the Director of Donor & Information Services to provide staff training for the Raiser's Edge software as applicable
  • Serve as the lead for processing online contributions with the use of Blackbaud NetCommunity software to ensure capability of online donations and guest registration.
  • Be the registration lead for various annual YWCA events. This includes but is not limited to data entry, guest seating reports and communication with guests prior to or at events as needed
  • Primary individual for contacting donors with questions concerning credit card processing issues
  • Responsible for providing complex data files for mailings, reports and tribute gifts as needed
  • Continuing search for understanding of racial, gender and class equity
  • Assure that volunteers are treated with respect and dignity regardless of race, ethnic background, gender or socioeconomic background
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office applications, and specifically data management in each application such as excel formulas, access database building, etc.
  • 3-5 years Raiser's Edge experience or comparative database experience including reporting, complex queries, exporting and importing
  • Working knowledge of Crystal reports a plus
  • Knowledge of gift acceptance procedures
  • Strong understanding of non-profit fundraising
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, excellent time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to work individually in a self-directed manner and as part of a team in group projects and to take general direction and apply it to specific circumstances as the situation requires
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple assignments

RATE, HOURS, BENEFITS

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • $17.81-$22.26/hr DOEQ.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Classification: Non-Exempt

  • As a condition of employment, the YWCA of Seattle-King County-Snohomish County requires all employees hired on or after July, 1 2009 to make a 5% contribution into a 403(b) plan sponsored by the YWCA until they are eligible for the YWCA Retirement Plan. Once an employee is eligible for the YWCA Retirement Plan (typically after 2 years of employment), the 5% required contribution shall be made to the YWCA Retirement Plan and the 403(b) plan contribution will no longer be required. Upon becoming eligible for the YWCA Retirement Plan, you will receive a YWCA contribution in addition to your own contribution
