Event reporting

I've been running into this issue several different ways over the past few days. When events include units of multiple participants (ie table, couple), it seems borderline impossible to get accurate reports on that event. All reporting seems to double up the registration fees, applying the whole unit amount to the booker and their guests, so an event where we receive $750 for a table of 10 shows up as $7500 income ($750 for the booker, and $750 for each guest). The same applies with any event exports. The only way it seems to get accurate reporting is to do a gift export. Is there any way to fix this? Is it a bug in the system? Anyone know if it's likely to be fixed?
