Group by Gift_GL_Post_Date

I created a Crystal Report and I'm trying to group by GL_GiftDate but for some reason it's giving me the wrong date. When I use GiftDate it shows the  correct date. Does anyone know why it not grouping with GL_Gift Date?

What date is it showing, and where are you seeing the wrong date?

 The group header is showing 3/31/13 but the actual Postdate is 4/24/13. I don't know where it's pulling this date from.

Confirm your fields in the detail section, perhaps something got left behind or switched when you were testing the GiftDate vs GLPostDate (could you still be showing GiftDate in the Details?).  I know this sounds silly, but it's difficult to troubleshoot without seeing the report.

 You could also check to make sure that what is showing in the header is the GLPostDate, not the gift date.

It's not the gift date or the Glpostdate. I'm guessing that I might need to change something in Report Option. Maybe the system date needs to be formatted. I'm not sure!

 If you click on the field, it will show you on the bottom left of your screen what database field it is pulling from.

In Group Options, for the GLPostDate group, click the Options button.  Then see what is selected for "The section will be printed:"  Confirm that you have "for each day" selected.  Hopefully this is the solution.

 Great! It works. I had "for each week". Thank you all for helping.
