Manager, Information Systems

The Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Manager, Information Systems in the Office of Development. This is a full-time position.

This position is responsible for the database/Development Information System (Raiser's Edge) administration, including major data import and cleanup projects, large mailing lists data pull projects, and data exports.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching and reviewing outside resources and recommending to the AVP, Development Services and Sr. VP of Development proactive strategies to constantly improve the integrity of the data in the Development Information System and will implement proactive strategies. This will include but not limited the development of reports and statistics to monitor data integrity, database updates, address, phone and email accuracy, and interrelationships of data
  • Providing database support for all the fundraising activities including annual fund campaigns, alumni and special events, and other Development Office campaigns
  • Primary liaison with university departments on matters relating to records management and will be responsible for monitoring quality control of the information being entered in the Development Information System including the scanning and attachment of electronic documents
  • The incumbent will play a key role in the development and ongoing maintenance of the database for creating operational reports
  • Working with the Annual Fund, Development Office and University Marketing & Communications to coordinate and develop mailings list projects and record solicitation appeals in the system
  • Writing database queries, pulling variety of lists and reports as needed.
  • Importing all data into Development Information System (Raiser's Edge)
  • Attending Major Gift Officer's meetings to execute requested reports, database related updates and add proposals etc.
  • Providing database support before and after Development Event including assisting Development officers in entering event actions, issuing periodically event related reports.
  • Providing escalated software support to users of Development Information System

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent combination
  • Must have experience with Raiser's Edge and similar donor information system
  • Must be able to handle a large number of different projects simultaneously which necessitates that a large and complex amount of information be assimilated with consistent attention to detail being made in addition to being provided in a timely manner
  • Expected to exercise sound judgement and decision making skills and briefs the AVP, Development Services and other staff as necessary
  • Demonstrated experience with standard software applications, including MS Excel, Windows
  • Results and service-oriented attitude with special attention to responding timely with accuracy and precision
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills, an inquisitive nature, and a strong track record of creative problem solving
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Responsibility of ensuring and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity for alumni, donor and constituent records set by AVP, Development Services
