 Organization Details: The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Foundation, Inc. is an independent, privately governed 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to stewarding donors, data, and dollars in support of the University of Northern Colorado, a Division I research university with approximately 12,000 students. The Foundation was founded in 1966 and is located in Greeley, Colorado. The assets of the corporation are approximately $100 million and 2011-2012 revenues were approximately $6.6 million from investment returns and new contributions raised by the University. The Foundation supports the University with about $8.4 million in program and scholarship support each year. About Greeley: Between the snow-capped Rocky Mountains and the sprawling high plains just an hour's drive north of Denver, the Greeley area has a population of nearly 100,000. Its pace is comfortable, its personality eclectic, its population diverse. Located In the heart of Weld County - one of the fastest-growing areas in Colorado - Greeley provides access to an abundance of housing choices and cultural, recreational and entertainment amenities. Position Summary:This position will plan, direct, and coordinate the database management and technology activities for the University of Northern Colorado Foundation. The Manager of Information Systems and Reporting is responsible for the management, oversight, development and implementation of the Foundation's fundraising database. Responsibilities include preparing reports, systems documentation and security, records maintenance, use and support of information systems including some web-based information systems and direct supervision of the data specialist staff.  The Manager of Information Systems and Reporting works closely with the Foundation and Development staffs on a wide variety of functions relating to the development, implementation, maintenance, documentation, use, and support of computer-based Development information systems. These systems currently include the Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, PaperSave, and website databases. This position reports to the President of the UNC Foundation, but maintains a close working relationship with the Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations, Development staff (including Prospect Research and Annual Giving), and Alumni Relations staff.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field.
  • At least five years of experience, ideally in a higher education environment, in an advancement or development office with a fundraising program of a similar size to that of the University.
  • Extensive experience in the type of database queries and reporting required by campus constituents in fundraising, alumni relations, and gift accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage a team structure.
