E-philanthropy and Online Media Specialist will manages several functions to support Florida Institute of Technology e-philanthropic efforts includes online fundraising, social media   networking with Alumni, friends and donors,  and all electronic dissemination of e-communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist AVP, Development Services in developing strategies and implementing programs to build Florida Tech online constituency to support e-philanthropy.
  • Assess, expand and upgrade Florida Tech's Office of Development websites.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and update website, e-philanthropy and online communications tools, promotional, fundraising, communications and marketing aspects.
  • Content development, editing, proj ect management and quality control of Development-related Web sites.
  • Development and coordination of electronic dissemination of e-communications like e-newsletters, e-marketing and blast e-mails.
Primary duties and Activities:

Assist AVP, Development Services with development and maintenance of the NetCommunity modules to support programs and services deployed by the Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Development, Annual Fund, Alumni Association, Events and other fundraising efforts.Providing technical consultation for mass email communications and serve as project manager for Blackbaud NetCommunity software applications or professional services as required to produce online e-philanthropy sites. Comply with web policy and procedures for all online sites.Responsible for building and managing all email marketing and e-communication requests such as e-newsletters, evites, e-solicitations emails and online donation forms etc.Serve as the Blackbaud NetCommunity administrator to ensure data integrity for the integrated components connected to the Raiser's Edge (online gifts/constituent/donor database records).Research and recommend ways to use the application functionality to address the evolving needs of University Development to engage Alumni and Donors.Assist AVP, Development Services with NetCommunity security groups and performs software upgrades as necessary.Assist AVP,  Development Services with Blackbaud/vendors for effective, timely resolution of problems.Responsible for all Office for Development's online web preseneceUnder the direction of the AVP, Development Services, oversees the workflow and training of the department staff in the area of e-philanthropy operations using Blackbaud NetCommunity.Troubleshoot and verify web links and check for content errors.Willing to learn and implement advance web technologiesSupport the University Relations area in electronic marketing research and deployment of appropriate materials.

Requisite Qualifications:

  • University degree/College Diploma in web technology, online communications, management information systems or a related field or a demonstrated equivalent experience as well as a minimum of three to four years' proven experience in a related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience with website management, Content Management System, online communications and/or social media tools.
  • Excellent copy writing, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovative online fundraising strategies and public relations projects.
  • Extensive experience in web design, content management, and web site administration, including understanding of web usability and information architecture.
  • Preferably experience with Blackbaud NetCommunity, Raiser's Edge and Web Content Management Systems.
  • Proficiency with Content Management System, basic HTML, blogs, social networking platforms, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, basic office computer programs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and evaluate current procedures to increase overall departmental efficiency
  • Must be willing and able to work within a larger team of development professionals
