Custom Questions on Event Report

Is it possible to have our custom question responses show on a custom event report? I didn't see the option on Report Builder.

There are a couple ways to do this. The default way is to go into the Event through the "Manage" link and then click the reports tab and run an Event Questions Report. I don't know why you can't get this info in one report through Report Writer. One thing you might explore is purchasing an Excel tool called AbleBits. It allows you to easily merge two Excel sheets into one using a common field like email to match the attendee information.

 

The best thing to do is use the Additional Information field and update a custom_string with the responses. This info can be generated in a Report Writer report. 

 

If you have time, I definitely recommend going to Ideas in the Support Portal and voting to have addditional questions appear in RW.

I will defintely vote on that!

 

When I run the event questions report, it doens't seem like much of a report, just a list. I don't see a way of exporting or saving as an excel or CSV.

 

Am I missing something?

Not sure I understand how to update teh custom string. WIll this let me add to my exisiting event report in report writer?

I'm trying to find out but there has to be a better way of getting that additional question info out of the system. I've contacted the Events product manager and will let you know what she tells me. I'll post here as soon as I get that.

I found out that "additional question" function is the only way to see the responses but you can't export a full report. If you go into each question you can download all responses that way. I know it's a pain. There is a discussion area where they are actually asking people to provide feedback about the Events tool. It's here https://www.blackbaud.com/discovery → Join Our Process. If you can provide your need for a "complete" Events report it might get more attention here.

 

Sorry I don't have a better solution.

Have there been any updates to this issue?  I am new to Team Raiser and in the process of building out reports to import in RE and am having this same issue.  I need to pull the custom questions out of report writer but don't see this option.  Hoping there has been some progress made since this was asked awhile ago.
