Wondering if there are pre-existing reports on facebook activity in Convio. Or what options we have when running a report in Convio.

  • Hi Adrian,

Since the activities that a person does in the facebook application actually take place on your site (e.g they actually visit the Convio-hosted site to take the action alert or make the donation), the interaction is captured in Constituent360 as before. While there are some activities a person can take purely within Facebook (add the app, invite others, give a gift, receive a gift) these interactions are not captured in Constituent360. The only reporting available, in terms of facebook activity, is to run the existing reports by source code to pull out activity by the facebook source codes and specific canvas pages subsource code. This will give you an idea of how many action alerts or donations were made that originated in facebook.

So which of the existing reports would one use to do this?

It's not immediately obvious to me which one I would use to accomplish this since advocacy is not yet a part of report writer.

The basic source code is just "facebook", correct?

    Hey James,

Still looking for clarification on this one. Which of the existing reports would one use to do this?

Specifically for Advocacy, you can run the Advocacy Analysis Report and select Source Code as the parameter to analyze. There is a similar report for Fundriasing.

    Hey James,

So I tried this, and the resulting report does not break down anything specifically. I just get a big pie chart with some vague sources. Is there something I'm missing?

    Adrian
