Why anonymous show on tax receipt

One of our donor made a donation through Convio. He did fill in the information, but anonyous showed on tax receipt. How can I change it and reissue tax receipt for donor?

    Can you tell me if this is happening on the "thank you" page and email receipt? Or is this happening on a PDF receipt?

  • As far as I know we can't resend autoresponders. You'll need to manually send him a new tax-receipt.

     

    It's very strange that the autoresponder showed "anonymous."  I would check his interactions tab to make sure the info was actually submitted.  If it did, there might be something funky going on with your autoresponders.

    Yes, you can't send another autoresponder but if you have PDF receipts setup and turned on then you can generate a new PDF receipt right there from the transaction info in the donor's profile and then email it to them through your regular email.

    Let me know if you have any questions about setting up a PDF receipt. There is a tool called "PDFFill" that is pretty cheap and very easy to use. You simply add S120 tag information in the PDF fields to add the transaction information. I created several for past clients of mine when I was on the consulting team. I'm sharing one PDFFill document that I did for SD Humane that could help get you started.

  • Old thread but still the best one on the topic i've found...

    One question - on the BB help, it was mentioned that "You must have the appropriate receipt Site Options and Receipt Manager enabled on your site to generate PDF receipts (one-time gift receipts). To generate sustaining receipts, Sustaining Receipts must be enabled along with Receipt Manager."


    But it fails to mention HOW an admin can get this functionality going.


    As a "super site Admin" I'm not seeing this option on my dashboard or any touchpoint anywhere. What is the process to deploy and who do i need to talk to to enable this functionality? Is it a third party tool and does it have a cost associated or subscription service associated with it?

  • If you don't see them, (I don't see them on our site either), I would ask support.


    There are many, many site options we do not get to see.

    Hi - Yes, the receipt site option must be enabled by Support. I see that we'd mentioned this in our FAQ Sustaining Receipts help, but not on the PDF Receipts help, so I've added that clarification just now. Sorry for the confusion, but yes, you'll need to contact Support to enable these receipt options.
