Recording a Purchase made Offline

We've been using the eCommerce module to allow constituents to purchase memberships to our organization.  We have a few people who have paid for their dues via checks.  I know that we can enter offline donations into the constituents' profiles, but is there a way to enter offline purchases in a similar manner?

I think the easiest way to do this would be for your staff to just enter the purchase just as the member would. They would just need to ensure that they were not logged into the system and that they entered the same email address already associated with the existing record in Cons360. This way the system would see it as the same existing person and add the transaction to their record. I would do the same for new members. As long as they have an email address you could enter the information as them.

I think there needs to be a way to enter offline ecommerce purchases for Cash and Check.  I think the solution presented here only works if the offline purchase is a credit card.   Not sure why ecommerce is the only place in CLO where you can't do a real offline transaction.

I would recommend adding a recommendation to enable offline eCommerce transaction to the Ideas tool in the Support Portal. That's the only way our product managers will know that this is something you want.

I've made this request several times and put in the old ideas platform and it never gained traction.   I'm not sure why this is one of the only modules you can't do an offline transaction entry.   Purchasing with check is quite common, at least at our non-profit.
