Renewal Management For 4 Year Banner School

Options

We're looking a the feasibility of implementing the Renewal Module.

If you work at a 4 year Banner institution, would you be willing to share your experience with the implementation and continued management of the renewal module? Please feel free to DM if you prefer.

  • We'd like to know how schools manage renewals for recipients awarded in their sophomore or junior year. We typically offer renewable scholarships to declared majors and depending on their classification, the number of iterations will vary from student to student.
  • How do you manage budgets? Obviously, BBAM cannot import budgets from Banner. What strategies have you found helpful for keeping track of budgets across Banner, the initial opportunity, and the renewal opportunity?
  • If you are a decentralized institution, have opportunity administrators (scholarship admins for various colleges) reported difficulty in tracking and managing renewals on top of ‘regular’ application cycle management?
  • What ‘wins’ have you experienced by utilizing the renewal module? Has it streamlined or simplified your processes in a meaningful way?
  • How have renewing students engaged with Supplemental Applications/Questions? Do you have high rates of completion or do you frequently contact students to remind them to complete the additional requirements?

Please feel free to share answers to any of these or other aspects of the system that you have found challenging or beneficial! TIA!

  • @Lindley Davis I'll be happy to share our pros and cons regarding the renewal management tool. We are not a 4-year Banner school, but I feel I could answer most of your questions. It may be too much to explain via email. Happy to meet virtually.
