Can you manually add a student application to an opportunity?

Options

Is it possible to manually add a student application to an opportunity they did not match to. We have department that suggest applicants, but they have not met the matching criteria to be added. Thank you

  • Hello, @Justin Beach!

If you're using an auto-match opportunity, you can just make a new qualification group! Something like, “User ID must exactly match XYZ." You'll have to update the qualifications every year to make sure they aren't reviewed when not “eligible," but this is a work-around we use.

We also sometimes use this for our Conditional Applications but create an auto-match opportunity titled “Division of Landscape Design Review Portfolio” where we have qualifications for their majors but can also include students that don't reflect the correct major, but we know will be eligible. Just add the qualification and you're good.

You can do the same thing for conditional or apply-to funds, but the student must still submit the application.

  • Hello, @Jonathan Blevins
That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you

  • @Justin Beach You can also “force apply” an applicant into an opportunity. Here is the Blackbaud article with instructions:

  • @Justin Beach
I use the “force apply” that Michelle Marks mentioned in her reply. With this method you do not have to change your qualifications.
