Indicating Paired Current/Endowed Funds

Options

Hey All,

We have hundreds of scholarships that have both a current and an endowed fund. Occasionally both are awarded but most often, the current is funded until the endowed can payout. We are trying to find an easy way to indicate which funds are paired in this way.

Naming conventions only go so far. We would love to indicate from the opportunity page that 83000 is paired with 85000, for example. We can't do this in a student-visible area and right now Project ID, Fund Code, and Auxiliary Fund Code fields are all utilized for other purposes. We need it to be readily visible, so Notes are not a great option.

Does anyone know if there is a way to add a pop-up or something eye-catching to share this info with opportunity admins?

  • @Lindley Davis If you have Stewardship Management, the following may be an option:

Go to Site>Settings>Fund Fields and click on the Add Field button. Name the field whatever you wish and make sure you click the box to make it Portfolio Visible (and Enabled). This will add a customized field to your portfolios in AM. The con is that when you need to enter/edit data for that field, you need to go to Stewardship>Funds, locate the fund, and then Edit Fund. The pro is that is visible in AM and you can include it as a column in grid views in AM.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you very much! That is exactly what we were looking for. I've been testing it this morning and it'll work well for what we need to do. Appreciate your help!
