Customizing email notification from Blackbaud Award Management

Options
Hello,

I'm hoping that I can find someone who would be willing to share what their email notification to students looks like. We are using the default for the "Award Offer Notification" below. Some students believe the email to be spam. We are looking to include our institution branding in the notification and a logo if possible. We would greatly appreciate it if anyone is willing to share what their notifications looks like with headers/footers and branding if possible. Feel free to contact me at ananie@ksufoundation.org. Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Jodi,

Would you share your customization with me as well. We have also heard from students that they thought it was a scam email.

    Thank you,

  • Of course Caren. Would you like to dm me your email and I'll send you a screenshot

  • Hi! I didn't think we could add Headers, Footers, or logos to the communications templates. Here is our standard award letter. It's very long and includes much information about the award ceremony. The only link we provide has our school's url, so it doesn't look like phishing (hopefully). If you are able to input logos, I would be very interested in hearing how!

  • Just sent you a sample of ours. We created a header and footer (footer turned off right now). Might help though with making it look more legit. Another consideration is to research the most 'spam-able' subject formats and/or use a less formal subject line.

Reach out if you have an questions.

  • Hello,

Would you mind sharing your template with me too? I was not aware that headers and footer could be created and would like to see what that looks like.

  • Hi Jodi,

Would you mind sharing your customization with me as well? We also have quite a few students who skip over out emails. Some customization may help!
  • Hi all,

You can add logos to your emails. You have to use a specific syntax that references a place you store all your logos. It looks like this:

    <img alt="UVA Logo Orange" src="https://apps.sfs.virginia.edu/academicworks/uva_logo.png">

It used to be that when you included this and previewed the communication, the logo wasn't included in the preview. However, recently that's been updated and you can now make sure your location resolves:

We use different logos for communications from different schools so this is very handy!

  • I would like to see this. I can be emailed at sswirsky@gatewayct.edu. Thank you!
  • Under Site > Settings > Styles you can also add an e-mail header and footer for all communications (but it'll be the same image for all communications, and can't be customized by opportunity/audience).
