Reviewer Score Visibility

Options
Hello,

In reading through the Knowledgebase, I'm not quite certain how scores are displayed to reviewers in the same group, different groups, or from different levels of reviews, i.e. reviews at the general and conditional application.

For example, in one particular college the dean scores all applicants at a conditional level. Members in the same group and other groups ideally should not see those scores so as to not influence other reviewers. There are then other review groups in that college who review at the opportunity level, and they also should not see those scores. Can anyone point me to an article in the Knowledgebase that clarifies this, or can anyone explain how this works so I can communicate a solution to our administrators?

Thank you for your time.

  • Howdy JonMichael,

Looks like you found a hole in our documentation!

On each opportunity, you can decide whether or not to show general/conditional scores to reviewer groups:
    • Propogate General Application Scores
    • Propogate Conditional Application Scores
If you select these options, then reviewers will be able to see what applicants received from your General/Conditional-level reviewers. In your case, it sounds like you want to make sure these boxes are unchecked.

I'll also make sure I add this to the product documentation.
  • Thanks Kody!

In hindsight, it is now so obvious. This will definitely solve the issue our administrator was having. Next step is to change all of the impacted opportunities.
  • Howdy JonMichael,

    You're welcome!

And apparently it's not that obvious, because the answer I gave you was partially correct. I had a colleague explain the situation to me in more depth.
    • Regular reviewers will never see applicant scores from the General/Conditional Application
    • Instead, if these options are selected, they affect the following areas:
      • Visible to reviewer chairs
      • Visible to opportunity and system admins on the opportunity applications
      • Affects the total reviewer score (averages together as many scores as you have)
So it's more about whether you want the General/Conditional application scores to affect your awarding of individual opportunities. Does that make sense?

And sorry about the confusion before! I'm learning more myself every day.
  • Hello,

I was wondering about this as well.  Where would I found the documentation on the steps to make reviewer scores visible on a conditional application?

    Thank you,

    Courtney
  • Howdy Courtney,

As long as you have a reviewer group attached to the conditional application (and completing reviews), you'll see their scores on that conditional application.

There's a bit more detail at the top of this article, too.
