PowerUp Challenge: Fourth Standard Reports Task

@Crystal Bruce WOW! It looks like exporting to CSV in web view works significantly better then in DB view. A usable file immediately!

@Crystal Bruce This was a very nice feature, and my CSV looked great!

@Crystal Bruce its a nice feature but again I'm trying to work 100% in RE not in excel anymore. Might be useful if connected to power BI I guess

@Crystal Bruce Worked great! Nice feature.

@Crystal Bruce, this was pretty easy and makes sorting and combining the data possible compared to the PDF. Again, being able to direct it to a specific location would be nice, rather than the default downloads folder.

@Crystal Bruce I ran the gift detail and summary report, which worked great except the donor count doesn't come through into the csv. The totals can be summarized but there's not a column to get the total donors.

@Crystal Bruce this will be extremely helpful for creating recurring pivot tables etc. with the same format each time, especially for things like our action detail reports.

@Crystal Bruce WOW! That is a game changer! I love that the CSV is ready to use!

@Crystal Bruce This is great! So easy to run it in CSV format. That saved some steps!

@Crystal Bruce The export looks good. Also should be helpful for any other reports and graphs made in Excel.

@Crystal Bruce
The format is a great improvement for manipulating data compared to the exports from database view reports!0 -
@Crystal Bruce The ready-to-use csv for the gift detail and summary reports are a great improvement from database view! Much easier for reconciling!

@Crystal Bruce I like the easy ability to send the file to a CSV, but I do have an Export question. I use Export with Query all the time and create Exports with a lot of specialized fields included. Is this possible? Am I just missing the more detailed Export opportunity in Webview? It is it's own tab in DBV.

@Carrie Powell I completely agree. I would also like to be able to direct the reports/CSV's to a specific folder.

@Crystal Bruce This is also a very helpful feature because our finance department wants the data in a csv file, while our team prefers pdfs!

@Crystal Bruce Great feature and an improvement from database view.

@Crystal Bruce would be nice to have ID as an option on all reports. ALSO WHERE IS SECURITY in all of this? All my GO's have access and they SHOULD NOT.

@Crystal Bruce I absolutely love this feature! It will make reconciling the data and comparing reports so much easier and will save me so much time to have the CSV option. Great improvement!

@Crystal Bruce this is a game changer! So many users ask for the same gift report in a spreadsheet and I hate building out two reports for the same thing! I was able to take a monthly report that is emailed out via the queue, save it in nxt as a csv and then share it. Fabulous!

@Crystal Bruce - I love DB but this is one of the first features that has brought me over to NXT - so much easier in NXT than DB.

@Crystal Bruce
I agree with Kathy MacLeod, that this is a great upgrade from DB to NXT. I generally stayed away from reports b/c of the lack of manipulation, but now the columns make sense and I can apply filters. This helps me share information to my team and review segments of the data during meetings.0 -
@Crystal Bruce I love being able to directly export from the report. Also, not to have the extra step.

@Crystal Bruce this allows sharing reports far easier with team members in my org who don't have access to RE.

@Crystal Bruce
having a GOOD CSV option is important for futher manipulation in excel.0 -
@Crystal Bruce I like exporting the report and sharing the results with the team in my organization.

@Crystal Bruce helpful that it saves a step.

@Crystal Bruce
I appreciate saving a step! This will be helpful! Thank you!0 -
@Crystal Bruce I love this feature of the CSV and the formatting is much improved from database view. Now I can easily manipulate data from these reports or make charts and graphs easily!

@Crystal Bruce PDFs only seem good for sharing information you don't want others to edit or for charts and graph visuals; The CSV options saves much time and gives flexibility for quick editing/filtering which is immensely helpful.

@Crystal Bruce I love that the CSV export doesn't require you to choose the “correct” output option to get the data without all the extra details in the PDF (title, header, extra spaces, etc.).
Sometimes you want both options - the “pretty” PDF for sharing but also the “csv” for deeper analysis. Because they run in the background it is relatively easy to just run the report 2x - once for PDF and once for CSV. But if this is the wish list - would love an option for both!
