Video demonstrating how to review general applications

Options

We are about to conduct blind reviews of general applications for the first time (we will not be reviewing opportunities; we have all auto-matches). I searched the Blackbaud videos hoping to find a demo for reviewers but found only videos about reviewing opportunities. Has anyone created their own video or written instructions explaining how to review the general application, especially if you hide the applicants’ names from reviewers?

  • @Kim Hiltner I found this youtube video called the The Reviewer Experience. I know this was helpful for me.

  • @Lauren Hackett Thank you, Lauren. I did see that video and also “Reviewing Applications” (they're similar and about 6 years old). I'd still like to see a demo reviewing general applications rather than opportunities. I know it's basically the same process so there's value in those 2 existing BB videos, but this will be new to our reviewers so I'd like to find something close to what they'll really see. When our review period begins (in late March) I'll capture screen shots and put together written instructions. If anyone whose institution reviews general applications has already done that and is willing to share, I'd greatly appreciate it ?

I added myself to a reviewer group and created a video tutorial via Zoom. I just shared my screen and talked through it. It's not the most polished training, but it's worked very well and allowed us to give guidance on some institutional best-practices in the process.
