Students can access the General Application but not Conditional Application

Options

Hello - We are new to Award Managment. We have some students who can log in and access the General Application, but not the Conditional Application. Some students can and some cannot, so it isn't a problem for all. Can anyone share guidance on why this is happening and how we can assist the students? Thank you in advance.

What qualifications do you have set up for the Conditional App? Are those students who are not able to access it meeting all the qualifications? That may be the reason, particularly if the criteria is looking for case-sensitive answers.

Thank you for your time and response. We identified a common denominator -the students with difficulty are all prematriculated and not currently enrolled. We are requesting assistance from our IT dept.

  • @Kim Botdorf the applicants may not be able to access the conditional application based on the qualifications you set.

I periodically have admins reach out to me regarding getting students access to their respective conditional applications prior to them being enrolled. My solution was to add an Administrator question on the General Application.

    The question reads:
“Use this to force-apply students to a specific Conditional Application AND to force the application to appear for them.”

I set it up as a checkbox type and listed each of our Conditional Applications as an option. Then on the respective Conditional Applications, I added an additional qualification group to look for students that had been checked to receive that access.

This is slightly different than simply force-applying because a force-apply doesn't cause the application to show up for a student.
