Workaround for no more conditional applications

Options

Hi all! I work for a University that has 20 available conditional applications. However, we have more departments that would benefit from having a conditional type application. For example, our Dining scholarship has two possible fund sources, and it is currently created to be an apply-to opportunity. We were advised to create an additional, always hidden, apply-to for the 2nd of the two possible funds. Once awarding begins, we were advised to force-apply the applicants that qualify for the 2nd fund to that hidden apply-to. This seems like it would work for us, but I was hoping someone else might have experience dealing with this type of situation, and could give me some advice on next steps. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • @Grace Doyle, I follow the line of thinking, and I agree with it. I would pursue the same route if I had two unique funding strings for the same opportunity.

We have run into this for some of our awards too. The issue I run into is that they usually end up needing to wait on me to make their application visible or I don't always have the information I need to get them added right away. Automatch/hidden opportunities are great for those situations. We have several opportunities where there is one applications but two versions of the award that can be issued. Having it set up this way helps the department see what students would be eligible and can email them easier from the applications tab, while also ensuring they get to keep their application and not have to wait on me to post their awards.
