General Application Submission Rate

Options

Hello! I work at a large, public university (24,000+ students), and I am curious to know if other institutions track the submission rate for their general application. We import all eligible students as drafted, and we have questions students must answer before submitting. We consistently see an annual submission rate of about 15-20% among undergraduate students, which we are interested in increasing (and have been working to do so), but it would be helpful to know more about the rates for institutions with a similar setup where students are not imported as submitted. Any insights would be appreciated!

  • @Joel Spiess Western University of Health Sciences is at about a 38% general application submission rate this year; but we are unique graduate-only, health sciences-only university with about 3,750 students near Los Angeles.

    Hi Joel,

We're a public 4 year institution as well. This is our second year of implementing BBAM across all campus colleges. We use the CUUI option and this year our application rate was 20.5%.

We're working to increase the application rate each year. If you have any strategies that have worked for your school that you would be open to sharing, please feel free to message me! We advertise heavily through email and department newsletters. Flyers and announcements to faculty have been helpful as well but we're always looking to improve.

    Thank you!
