"Not currently qualified" but the student is qualified.
We've had an influx of students call to find out why they're seeing scholarships they are qualified to receive show as “not currently qualified”, then the odd part is that an admin user will log in to try to investigate and then in a couple minutes the status of that opportunity changes to say they are now able to apply. Has anybody else been seeing this issue? We moved all of our opportunities to “Qualified to Apply” only for this cycle. Maybe it has something to do with the import file and the time it takes to update records in the system?

@Tiffany, we have observed this, as well. In our case, we found that the student had just satisfied for the first time one of the qualifications. Our criterion was that the student had to submit a conditional application, and the student had just hit submit before contacting our office. Blackbaud told us to allow up to six hours for the system to recognize that the criterion had been satisfied, and this solved it for us. Long wait for students, but our typical response to them is to wait 24 hours for the system to refresh, and it's always solved by then.

@Tiffany Smith I have the same issue too! I have a case open with BB currently. This is what BB is telling me: “This is a known issue with the Qualify to Apply feature experienced by some applicants that is currently under investigation by our engineering team. The issue is a problem with caching, meaning the system is holding onto some information from before the student was qualified, causing the system to think the is qualified and unqualified at the same time. This results in the Not Currently Qualified message in his portal.” BB has suggested that the Qualified to Apply button be turned off for all of our apply to opportunities in the system. But they tell me it will take 10-15 days for their team to do this in a mass process. In the meantime, I've been turning this off manually one by one on each opportunity.

@Michael Elliott Thank you for your feedback! I'm very pleased to know BB is aware of this issue and is working to remedy it. And in the meantime, we'll take the same advice you were given and turn off the Qualify to Apply feature. I had a strong suspicion that this was the cause.

@Tiffany Smith I did get confirmation from BB late last week that the issue has been resolved with the Qualified to Apply feature. I still had them uncheck that for all of our apply to opportunities for this current cycle.
