Reports for Students That Started vs. Completed

Options

This is our first year working with Blackbaud Award Management, and so far with our cycle to apply open all has been good. That said we like to keep track of how many students have started an application (at least logged in once) and how many students have submitted an application. for anyone that has done something similar, what has been the best way to do so? We are currently having to filter through the import file that brought in every student then filter down more externally.

  • @Melissa Wax I set up a Dashboard card for all completed applications, then another card that filters for students who answered at least the first question on the application. It's not exactly a report, but it gives me a good idea of how many students started the app but didn't finish it. I can then filter that dashboard for unsubmitted apps, and poke those students to log back in and submit the rest of the questions before the applications close.

We do the same thing and it works great! Our first question is a single-select/drop-down option, so many students will at least complete that before they leave. We follow up with that population several times throughout our application cycle.
