Priority and final award deadlines

Options

We implemented 2 deadlines for the first time this year- a priority and a final deadline- now I am trying to figure out how to work the reviewers for each period. Since the application will still be open when they are reviewing, I'm afraid they will continue to get additional applications daily. And how does the process work for the 2nd review period? Will there be an issue with those already scored? Any advice from anyone who has done this would be appreciated- thanks!!

  • We offer four distinct review periods, two of which take place while our GA is open. This allows us to have a priority deadline and a recruitment deadline. The key to not having new applications added after these deadlines take place is by setting up an internal close date within the opportunity. The following would be a typical year's schedule: GA open 3/15 to 7/30; Priority Deadline 4/15; Recruitment Deadline 5/31; Final Deadline 7/30. The Priority Review Period runs from 4/16 to 5/17; Recruitment Review Period runs from 6/1 to 6/30; General Review Period runs from 8/2 to 8/30; and Study Abroad/Internship Review Period runs from 11/1 to 11/30. The dates are then added as follows depending on which review period the opportunity falls in:
    Priority

    Open: 3/15

    Close 4/15

    Internal Close 4/15

    Review Open 4/16

    Review Close 5/17

    Recruitment

    Open 3/15

    Close 5/31

    Internal Close 5/31

    Review Open 6/1

    Review Close 6/30

    General

    Open 3/15

    Close 7/30

    Internal Close 7/30

    Review Open 8/2

    Review Close 8/30

    Study Abroad/Internships

    Open 3/15

    Close 7/30

    Internal Close 7/30

    Review Open 11/1

    Review Close 11/30
  • Thank you so much! Had not understood internal close date- will utilize this!
