Password Expirations

Options
In order to continue meeting security and authentication best practices, users who login to Blackbaud Award Management™ with an email and password (and do NOT use SSO) will have their passwords expire after a year of use.

Any users that may have been using the same password for longer than a year will begin to see their passwords expire next week. We've randomized expiration dates for these users throughout the summer and Fall, so that everyone's password doesn't expire on the same day. If a user's password has expired, the next time they log in they will be prompted to reset their password.

Password Requirements:
  • 12 characters or more
  • At least 1 character must be a number
  • At least 1 character must be a lowercase letter
  • At least 1 character must be an uppercase letter
  • At least 1 character must be one of these special characters # ? ! @ $ % ^ & * -
  • Must not contain your user name or common words or phrases or a straight run on the keyboard (ex: asdfg or jkl;)

Tip: Each character you add to your password makes it harder to hack. Consider basing your password on a phrase or sentence.
