Integration with Other Blackbaud Products

I work for a college that has been utilizing Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge for many years, and we have recently been exploring Award Management for our Financial Aid department. We would love to have the opportunity to connect with other users of this product, particularly if you have integrated it with Financial Edge. At this time, one known pain point for our school is knowing at any given moment what funds are available for being awarded. We hope that this challenge would be resolved with this integration.

Hi Nathan, did you get any responses to your question. We are at the same point, except we already use BBAM, but don't have a good method for entering scholarship data into BBAM. Appreciate any feedback you have.

We are new to Award Management (haven't gone live yet). When talking to other schools, it does not sound like Award Management talks to Financial Edge other than maybe manually exporting data from Financial Edge and then batch importing some of that data into Awards Management. I think Financial Edge and Raisers Edge may come more into play for the Stewardship module. There are a group of us exploring that module (there is a thread in the discussions with info)….for those who are using it, it still sounds like a lot of manual exporting and importing between the systems. But, I am completely new to this system, so I could be very wrong. As Victor said, I think it talks well to a SIS (Banner) but not so sure about the others.

We are not on Banner but I am curious if your script that moves data between BAM and Banner is instant? or if there is a delay in the timing of the data updating between the two systems.

Arly Douglass‍ We are in our second year Award and Stewardship Management and I can confirm that they do not interface with raisers Edge. I wish they did as I had to manually double check all of my donor contacts address information, and whether they and/or a spouse was deceased prior to creating my annual scholarship reports.

Remember…Blackbaud did not create Awards Management….it acquired (Assimilated) it and rebranded it as a Blackbaud Product. In the future they may add the ability to use Ethos, or one of their new Webhooks to allow it to talk better with other products

Emily, unfortunately we decided to move in a different direction than BBAM, so I was never able to truly experiment.
