Report of Constituents' Email Clients?

Options

Is there a way to get a report of the email clients constituents are using, not on a per-person basis (though that would be helpful sometimes in troubleshooting), but, say, an overall chart/graph showing client and platform (Gmail on the Web, Gmail Android, Gmail iOS, etc.)?

@Ram Basu My methodology is to create groups based on domain (contains @yahoo.com, etc). Then you can run a group performance report. Really helpful to see if you are having a problem with one domain.

  • @Erik Leaver, thanks. Interesting idea (and a good one!), but what I'm hoping for is a breakdown of clients (mobile and desktop), such as: Apple Mail Mobile, Apple Mail Desktop, Outlook Desktop, Outlook Web, Gmail Mobile Android, Gmail Mobile iOS, Gmail Web, etc. I'm guessing this isn't possible, but thought I'd ask.

Breaking it down by domain is possible, of course, but won't tell me what client (what interface, i you will) the recipients are using to read their email.

@Ram Basu Sorry I didn't catch what you were after. I don't think that level of detail is available. For a guideline, Litmus has a monthly report on clients that may be helpful:

@Ram Basu At the Campaign level you can run a Message Open Summary by Device report. There is also the Report Writer report Messages By Domain.

  • @Allison King thanks! I'll look into those.

  • @Erik Leaver thanks! I had forgotten about Litmus, which I used many years ago at a different job.
