New Applicant Portal Testing

Options

@Jason Kelliher You had mentioned testing the forms created in the new grantee portal. Is there a testing environment to do so or how do you recommend we do this? Thank you.

  • @Arancha Lattanzio There is no testing environment, but the new applicant portal is completely independent of the legacy grantee portal. You can fill out/submit applications and consider them into requests without impacting the legacy portal or any in-progress applications. I would suggest labeling fields in a test request in such a way that it's obvious that it is a test record. You could then delete any test requests/contacts/orgs that were created as part of your testing.

  • @Nick Mills Can you speak to where/how you delete any test requests/contacts/orgs that are created in testing? We are currently only seeing the ability to cancel, but not delete!

  • Hi @Leigh Clark,

Once you've considered your test applications, any resulting organizations, contacts or requests can be deleted by opening that record and clicking the delete button at the top of the record. Please note that only specific permissions levels can delete some records, and some records, like requests, have different permissions based on the disposition of the request. Best practice would be to mark those records specifically as TEST records to help avoid accidentally deleting non-test records.

You can review this documentation to see which roles can delete different types of records: User Role Permissions
