Sharing my Power Automate template: Automate Recurring Gifts from Online Express
Sharing my flow to automatically convert recurring gifts made via Online Express. The flow is scheduled to run daily and produces an email that is sent to notify staff of all recurring gifts that were processed for that day. The email has a table of gifts that were successfully converted and a separate table of those that failed to be converted and the reason for the failure.
- Required connections: This flow uses:
- Blackbaud SKY Add-ins
- Outlook 365 (optional)
- RE NXT Gifts
- RE NXT Constituents
- Suggested skill level required to use this template: Beginner
- Configuration details: Replace BBPS Configuration ID Variable with Blackbaud Payment Services configuration ID for your organization's payment services account.
- Category: Automation
Additional configuration of the flow may need to be done if your organization has multiple Payment Services configuration IDs.

@Matt Thacker this is amazing, thank you for putting this together! My org is not on BBPS, we're on Bambora (austrlia). Will I be able to get this flow to work? So far have not been able to find anything resembling a config ID.
Edit - we're on BBPS but not BBMS. Still hunting down the config ID though. I'm very excited about this flow!

Hey @Jenny Mulcock, I would start with just running a Power Automate flow using the Get a Gift action and use that to get a recurring gift record that's already been processed. In the JSON response, I think the config ID will be in there. Then you can just plug that into the variable.

@Matt Thacker so I've just been chatting with BB support and unfortunately it sounds like this won't work for clients not using BBMS. Does this sound correct to you? I assume it probably is as without BBMS the payments API is not available, and that seems to be the root of my problem ?

@Matt Thacker Hi - Thank you for the flow. I don't know where to find “BBPS Config ID”. We use BBMS and I asked the service team where to locate it, but they couldn't give me the answer.
