Trouble adding multiple queries

Options

Hello!

Apologies if this has been posted before. I did some searching but didnt see anything that may help. I am working on bringing some queries from Altru into PowerBI. I want two queries in each chart. I can get the first one in and set perfectly where it is accurately reflecting the numbers. But then when I add the second one, it shows the same number for each month which is not accurate. I added a screen shot below. The dark blue is correct, but the light blue is not. They are the exact same query; the only difference is the year (dark blue is current year, the other is past year). It doesn't matter which query I add first or which contains the date. Hoping someone can help! Hopefully that makes sense, happy to answer any questions. Thanks!

  • @Anita Burton- Hi Anita, I can try to help with Power BI but I'm not an Altru user.

In order for 2 queries to be on the same chart, they need to have a common field. Do you have a Calendar table that has the current year separate from the other queries/tables. If not, that will help you. You want to use the Year from the Calendar table and join both of your queries/tables to that Calendar table using the Year field.

In your chart you will use the Calendar Year as the x-axis and drag your information into the Values section of the chart and both should appear correctly.
