Sending an email without formatting

I am trying to send an email within Raiser's Edge that looks like a regular plain text email, one that you would receive if you weren't on some anonymous email list.

I have tried the mailchimp app, gmail app, the Letterbox app, and the Raisers Edge NXT email system with no success. RE's “create an email from a blank layout” is one of the worst tools imaginable at this task, it adds all kinds of unnecessary formatting as the default.

    I don't know if you are using Microsoft at your organization, but I'm wondering if you could use Power Automate to generate a regular email from Outlook? Perhaps @Austen Brown or @Heather McLean could address this?

    @Michael Conti - are you trying to send a one-off email or an email to a group/ list of contacts? Is Outlook or Gmail acceptable or are you looking for something else?

    @Heather McLean Thanks for the reply Heather! These emails would be sent monthly. We work with gmail instead of outlook, but unfortunately the gmail plugin does not allow us to “impersonate” people within the organization, which is a necessity covered by a mail merge. We need to send an email from our Director, for example, without having access to their inbox to send on their behalf.
