Adding Additional "Merged" data to Acknowledgement Template

Options

Trying to understand how to modify the Acknowledgement Template in Word Desktop to include additional information from Raiser's Edge. The template only includes some basic information (name, address, gift date and amount). Our letters require including additional information (like fund description, org name, additional addressee type, tribute names on gifts, etc.). I've not been able to find any support material on how to do this. Does anyone have some suggestions?

    Hi Amanda!

We've recently updated our documentation at

This goes through how to add fields to the sample documents and how to add them in the flow to populate. However, this relies on information that's currently available through the connector / SKY API and not everything, such as Tributes, is there at this point. We are working on some alternative solutions to help get this data out of Raiser's Edge NXT in order to populate your letters.

  • Will there be additional instructions as to how to convert a Word template to a Repeating Letter template?

  • We have the premium version of power automate and cannot pull tribute info into our flows. Are you saying that if we had the Sky API it also would not be able to pull the tribute info? If that is the case, when will Tribute info be available for pulling?

Hi Sarah, Tribute information is not available for pulling either through SKY API or Power Automate (which relies on SKY API). There isn't a timeframe that has been announced for that. However, take a look at the following link that gives insight into how Export + Power Automate can be used for the items that aren't available through the API.
