We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates that will enhance the Blackbaud Tuition Management experience for parents!Our team has been hard at work to bring you these improvements, and we can’t wait for you to see them in action!



Enhanced Payment Experience

We know how important a smooth payment process is for parents. That’s why we’ve integrated Blackbaud Checkout and Flywire to elevate your payment experience.
  • Blackbaud Checkout has a fresh new look offering a consistent payment experience across all Blackbaud products, with seamless PCI compliance and enhanced credit card security.
  • The revamped Flywire integration cuts out manual processes and minimizes delays. Families making international payments will benefit from faster processing and real-time updates to payment statuses. Funds are sent directly to Blackbaud and remitted to the school through standard processes.
    • To use this feature, please contact Support to enable the Flywire integration. It’s quick, free, and easy for schools and families.
Improved Communications

We’ve revamped our communication processes to ensure you receive timely and relevant information.
  • Welcome Email, Prior to Debit Email, and E-invoice: These important communications now feature a uniform header which can include your school logo and a footer with links to your School Policy document along with links to Blackbaud’s Contact Us, Terms and Conditions, and FAQ.
    • Contact Support to upload your school logo and add your School Policy document link.
  • Detailed Billing Breakdown: Prior to Debit emails and E-invoices now include a clear breakdown of the amount due, messaging on past due balances, and updated information on fee structures and payment methods.
Additional payer invitations. Primary payers and school admins can invite additional payers, such as spouses and grandparents, to access their Tuition Management account. New users are invited by email. Invited users:
  • Can be removed at any time by the primary user or the school
  • Cannot access the primary payer’s saved payment methods or invite other payers
  • Cannot access other education products. They have no permissions unrelated to making payments in Tuition Management.
Custom fee description. This feature allows schools to supply additional information when adding fees to a student account, so families have a better understanding of what they’re paying for. Learn more on the Edit Billing Details page.
  1. Import in bulk or enter individually. The self-service import template includes a column for Custom Fee Details.
  2. Since Custom Fee Details are visible to parents in the parent site and in the newly updated prior-to-debit email and e-Invoices, please use Internal Notes for information that should be kept private.
  3. Custom Fee Details can be modified or removed.
Coming soon: Payment scheduler allows parents to schedule payments on future dates. Currently available through an Early Adopters Program, this feature is expected to release in August or September.
