Primary Email

Options

I'm very much a noob and am setting up a flow (from scratch) that will send an email when a gift is received that meets the specific criteria on a gift list (which is currently one single test gift on my personal record). I'm working through this incrementally and it works when I hard-code an email address in the “to” field, but it fails when I try to use the primary email from the constituent record. As best as I can tell from the error info, it looks like the dynamic primary email option is sending over more than just the email. How can I correct for this? Do I need to parse the email address out of the string that's being sent over? Or do I need to use a different “Get a constituent” option? The one I'm using now says “preview” but I think I've also seen a different “get a constituent” option that doesn't have a preview. I'm including screenshots of my flow as well as the error message below.
