@Crystal Bruce I can definitely see how this capability could streamline workflow and improve accuracy when tracking relationship-based giving—especially for situations involving donor advisors, family foundations, or corporate contacts tied to individual donors.

Being able to link or update an opportunity directly from the gift record saves a step and makes it easier to ensure everything stays connected in the system. It helps paint a clearer picture of the full lifecycle of a gift and where it originated, which is so valuable for reporting and forecasting. I’m looking forward to exploring how we can use this more consistently in our team’s process!

@Crystal Bruce my org uses Opportunities all the time to track asks. By having the capability now to use web view to do these updates we can avoid opening DB view as often to update the status. Since we utilize Omatic for all online donations to pull into RENXT I can now go directly to a record in web view and link it if we have an online donation.

@Crystal Bruce Opportunities are a key part of our process. This is a nice feature when going back to do clean-up, but we need it to be an option during gift entry to really receive benefit from us. Otherwise, our gift process has to add a step of leaving the batch to go do this step, so it's likely to get missed.

I just showed this feature to one of our donor officers and they are excited to use it, especially for DAF gifts where we had been using soft credits and donor names in the reference field to identify relationships.

@Crystal Bruce Being able to quickly and easily link a gift to an opportunity is really helpful, as we have in some cases multiple opportunities for a constituent, and sometimes multiple gifts for each of those opportunities.

It would be helpful if/when we can link the gift to opportunity when entering the gift, just as we can currently link an action to an opportunity.

The Opportunities tab on Work Center showing the linked gifts is extremely helpful, it could be improved by displaying the type of gift, currently a payment and a pledge appear the same.

@Crystal Bruce We've been using opportunities more and more so it's exciting to have this new feature! Adding opportunities to gifts makes it so much easier to apply funds to opportunities we end up securing. I love any chance we get to make our data more comprehensive and useful!

@Crystal Bruce We are not using these currently, but I can see how they would be helpful to track funding sources for specific projects. I also like that you can input probabilities, as we do this currently in excel.

@Crystal Bruce I think Opportunities will be very helpful for us during our Capital Campaign as we gather donations, we can track where we are with each donor in the process which is very helpful.

@Crystal Bruce - this new feature will be huge for us as we work to get our finance team comfortable with the transition to webview. Whenever there is functionality missing that is available in database view, it reinforces them to stay in database view for all gift management.

@Crystal Brucedid not realize I had to click ON the opportunity itself to edit- our gift officers use these for tracking our annual goal-since I enter all the gifts, I see it when I have a gift that has had the opportunity added.

@Crystal Bruce This seems to work well in this direction. I'd much rather have the ability to add the gift from the opportunity, which is typically what I do in database view. We rely heavily on Opportunities to manage grant funding and we often have multiple grants with similar names from the same funder.
