Opportunity Pipeline Reporting in Power BI

Options

Hi,

I am working to migrate the reports from Raiser's Edge NXT to Power BI. In the process, I am utilizing Microsoft's custom connector to get most of the generic data from RE, and a couple of manual files to get the data that's missing from the connector.

I am keen to dashboard how an opportunity is moving in the pipeline. Even getting something like a table for opportunities that changed status in the last two weeks will work. However, I came to find out that date_modified field in the opportunity table is not reliable. Are there any other ideas you can share with me?

Please share any workarounds that you folks leverage to create a dashboard on how the opportunities are moving.

Thanks!!

@Rohan Bhatt You might check out this upcoming bbdevdays session, “Accountability in Pipeline Planningled by @Becky Garling. She has some fantastic Power BI reporting on pipelines.

Answered you on the other post. here it is also in case anyone else is reading this post

changing status of an opportunity does causes the list opportunity endpoint using last_modified filter to give you what has been changed. (i just tested that out, so i'm 100% on that claim)

So the question then is, how did you make the call and if you are using the last_modified parameter, if so, are you doing so correctly

In addition to the session Erik mentioned, opportunity status data does appear to be available via the Opportunity API now. Unless that is the field you are finding unreliable.
