PowerUp Challenge: First Home Page Task

The tiles on the Raiser’s Edge NXT Home page are adjustable and movable for customization. You can choose what information is most relevant to you to show on your home page when you log in. For example, if you access your recent gifts tile, you can choose what information pulls forward onto your home page, so you see what matters most to you each day. Choose three tiles that are relevant to your day-to-day needs and add them to your home page. Let us know which you chose and why.

Hi @Crystal Bruce! I set mine up a while ago and turned everything on so I could get a sense of it after I was wowed by seeing what @Dan Snyder had done with his page. I'll share my three favorite (pre-PUB) tiles. Query Favorites (eager to get something that resembles my home screen in database view), Event Tracker (We are prepping for our reunion and I'm in here every day and cool to see the numbers grow and quickly pop into it), and Updates (Always need to keep my finger on the pulse of what has changed in this very dynamic moment).

@Crystal Bruce I also am super excited about the updates to the Home page. In the past I hadn't really utilized it much. Elizabeth and I are on the same wave length it appears, because those are the same tiles I have, as well as a special one for PaperSave since we utilize it heavily here. I love being able to easily see my favority queries right there and I love that they're grouped. Having the Event tile helps me keep track of upcoming events. I also have the Updates tile open so I can review recent changes and updates.

@Crystal Bruce, I picked Year-over-year fundraising, Recent gifts, and appeal tracker. These are statistics that my team members regularly ask me about, so having them easily available on the home screen is nice. I wish all tiles would allow me the option of choosing which gift types to report on.

@Crystal Bruce I set up tiles for Recent Gifts (with filter > $2500), Fundraiser Performance, and Prospect Insights. I'm a prospect research for major gifts, and skimming this info daily helps me stay in the loop.

@Crystal Bruce This is great! Definitely going to have each fundraiser set up tiles for recent gifts and fundraiser performance. Event and Appeal tracker tiles will be helpful for others as well.

@Crystal Bruce I love the new home page, specifically Updates, Opportunities, and Favorite Queries. While Updates and Queries are more for me, Opportunities I find the hardest to report on so having something as a launching point with customization options is great.

@Crystal Bruce Year-over-year fundraising, Recent gifts and Fundraiser performance are three key metrics that you want in front of your staff as often as possible. I like that you can get a quick snapshot of how things look without having to go to a dashboard or run a report.

Gives quick snapshot of what I need to see.

Note when moving tiles, seems like you can't move it to bottom of column but can move above another tile and then rearrange. Strange glitch.

@Crystal Bruce I chose recent gifts so I can proof them after adding them. I chose Event tracker to monitor our latest event. I chose Favorite Queries to simplify my day. love the option to move them around.

@Crystal Bruce I loaded recent gifts, left what's new up (with so many changes happening it is a full-time job staying on top of that), and year-over-year fundraising. It is so nice to get a quick update right when you log in.

• Event Tracker for upcoming events
• Favorite queries
• Opportunity snapshot for our ongoing capital campaign

@Crystal Bruce It's so great to be able to customize the Home Page! I've chosen Favorite Queries, Event Tracker and Recent Gifts. It's nice to be able to access frequently used queries quickly and being able to see the gifts input right away is so helpful.

I think these still need some work. I added fund tracker but you can't specify there the gift types so I had to figure out where to do that. I also added the year to year just to see what it was and I had already added favorite queries a while ago, but its a little cumbersome to set up.

Additionally, I implemented a campaign tracker to assess the performance of various initiatives over time. @Crystal Bruce It will be interesting to see if I use this home page, in the past I haven't used the home page in database view. I kept the Updates tile, as it is great to be able to stay on top of changes as we transition from database view. I also added Recent gifts, my main function is to process and receipt gifts; Year-over-year fundraising because I thought it may be interesting to see if there are trends during the year; and appeal tracker to make sure we are on track to meet our Annual Fund goals.
