What are the best courses on Power BI for nonprofit organizations?

Hi everyone,

I work with a nonprofit organization and we’re looking to implement course Power BI for data analysis and reporting. We don’t have much experience with the tool yet, so I’m on the lookout for training that’s specifically helpful for nonprofits.

Are there any Power BI courses that are tailored to the needs of nonprofit organizations? I’m particularly interested in training that can help us with budgeting, reporting, and visualizing key metrics.

Any recommendations for beginner-friendly courses that align well with nonprofit work would be greatly appreciated!

    Blackbaud does offer some course/training for beginner and they have workshop that put you hands on doing it. @Erik Leaver can provide some details on the next offering

    @Michelle Alice We recommend starting with the Microsoft Learn courses (or something similar to begin to grasp the basics). Get started building with Power BI, Prepare data for analysis with Power BI Learning path courses, and Build Power BI visuals and Reports learning path courses are a fantastic start.

    Blackbaud offers in-person training for Power BI as well. We have two Fundamentals classes this fall in Chicago (Sept 11-12) and Houston (November 6-7). We will have a 1-day Accelerator Developer Workshop as part of the bbcon preconference as well. The Blackbaud workshops teach participants how to access their Blackbaud data, bring it into Power BI, how to refresh that data, and how to display that data directly in your Blackbaud solutions.

    There will be lots of Power BI sessions as part of bbdevdays, our virtual Developer's Conference, June 3-5, worth checking out.

    And finally, we have a monthly Power BI User Group that is open to all. Excited to have you starting your Power BI journey!
