Check In Option for Events

Does anyone know of the best way to do event check-ins in NXT? I seem to remember a few years ago there was a Blackbaud Events App that worked on iPads and connected to RE. This doesn't seem to be around anymore.

Any help would be appreciated.

one way you can do this is directly within the event's work with participant page on RE NXT, this allow you to search for guest name and mark the guest as attended.

However, this requires the users to have access to RENXT at the door.

If you need other option (such as ability for volunteer to do checkins for you and they have no access to RE NXT), then you need to either sign up for another software/app and export data from RE NXT to that app for checkin (CVENT for example), or create your own using SKYAPI (we created our own).

@Shaun Grace over the years we (I) have created in-house apps using Bubble.io (webpage designer), Flask (api for the bubble.io app) and the SkyAPI to manage the check-in processes.

As it is custom we get exactly what we want when we want it.

We're actually conducting final testing for our check-in tool as we speak. Will be available on the Blackbaud Marketplace with our Seating Chart add-in hopefully by the end of the week/early next week.

Designed where you have a URL and can set your own password for users to access. This means volunteers can have access to this check-in tool without being logged into RENXT.

The participant view in web view works great for this if the people running registration have access to RE NXT. If not, you can try creating a volunteer login with restricted access.
