Gathering Table Names

Options

Does anyone have a good process to gather table names for events? Ideally within RE, but open to a third party option if needed.

  • @Emily Bastow do you mean guest names? They can be entered upon registration using web view event registration forms. I don't think that RE NXT has a built-in way to do this as a follow-up once the sponsor/host has registered.

  • @Sunshine Reinken Watson thanks for your response. We were hoping to be able to gather after the fact as we sometimes sell the table months in advance and our constituents do not know who will be attending with them.

  • @Emily Bastow one organization I worked with set up a Google form I believe. Still a bit of work to email to the contact person at the organization, but it did the trick as well as any other online form you could create that is NOT connected to RE

    @Emily Bastow
    there is no direct/default feature on RE NXT to do this.

    So your options are:

    • handle manually with fundraiser calling or emailing those that have missing guest name
    • create a generic form that ask for the names and send elbast or direct email to the table sponsor and direct them to this form.
      • response from this form will need to be manually looked at and match to the table sponsor and then manually adjust the guest name based on response
    • somewhere in between above and below bullet point
    • high custom coding that dynamically create a form that will intake X number of guest name that is missing from the sponsor table, form “secretly” identify who the “registrant” (table sponsor) is by participant system record id, when form is submitted, the back-end processing will match the ID and find the “guest” of that ID and use SKY API to rename guest name to the submitted info
      • The issue here is name submitted (only name is not “identifible enough”) will be guest name (non-constituent guest) only, and not connected to potentially constituent record
  • @Alex Wong when you suggest a generic form…would that be within RE?
