Time needed for Creating Acknowledgement letters through Power Automate & Question about table formatting

Options

I am trying to build an estimate of the amount of time needed to build and test 2 letters through Power Automate, SharePoint, etc. Amy rough estimates would be appreciated!

Also, they have a requirement of putting a list of Board members on the left-hand side in a column format in the actual letter. The Board member list changes periodically, and they do not want it on the Header or Footer.

    Good morning.

The time to build this out is very dependent on your skill level and is a difficult question to answer.

If you have already started using power automate and have already completed the “getting started” tasks, a basic acknowledgement template from the showcase shouldn't take long to get set up. If you are just getting started, it is a different story.

When I set mine up, I adapted an existing Power Automate template to our needs and it took a few tries before I had it working the way we wanted. The real payout is once it is in place, there is little to no maintenance needed.

You can edit the templates to your organizations needs.

echoing what Hallie already said, it depends.

if you already got the skillset (specifically: Power Automate flow creation, MS word template for eReceipt creation). This would take a few hours to 1 full day.

if you do not have either skill and want to learn from start and uses some template that is already available AND some video from user group, that can take 1-3 weeks depending on how quickly you can pick this up. (also depends on how much time you can delicate to learning).

As for the board member name on the “left”. That can be done in 1 of 2 ways.

    1. add it in the word template, and whenever you need to update it, just update the template
    2. add a dynamic content in the word template, and it will be “filled out” by the automation
      1. use in conjunction with recording “who” should be in the board list in RE NXT (i.e. constituent code/custom field) OR record the names in a SharePoint list or excel that can be easily updated.
      2. this method may work well if your board list changes very often
