How do you track event attendance with an individual attends on behalf of an organization?

Options

We have a lot of local businesses and organizations in our RENXT that attend our Advancement events. We need to track what organizations engage with us but also need to know what individual attends. I wish there was a way to assign “soft credit” attendance so RSVP'ing both the organization and invidual wouldn't mess up our overall attendance count.

Has anyone figured out a different way to do this?

  • @Abigail Barany Have you set up the Organization as a Sponsor and then linked the Individuals as Guests or Registrants of that Sponsorship?

If your event form is set up to allow organizations to register, then when the data flows in we mark the Organization RSVP status as N/A and the guest(s) as attending. Here's an example:

You can also manually add organizations to your event in RENXT and mark their RSVP as N/A, but then add the people attending in their place as guests of the organization.

This will keep the number listed as Attending on the Participant tile correct.

Hope this helps, please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks!

This is great! It looks like it is still counting the organization and the two staff members attending as three “RSVP's” though. Do most people just pull out the “sponsors” then for the final count?

I think this is the answer!! Thank you so much!

  • @Abigail Barany I think that @Kimberly Hammer's response may have answered your question, but happy to help further if need be.
