Corporate Sponsors for a Golf Tournament?

Options

Does anyone have tips/best practices regarding online registration forms for sponsors in an upcoming golf tournament? Does it work well to include 4 registrants for a sponsorship package that includes a foursome? I'm thinking that if I do that, it would give the constituent code of “sponsors” and not “golfers” for those registrants. I was also wondering if anyone uses the table seating charts to create foursomes when the golfers register for the tournament?

Any other tips for doing a golf tournament on BB Events please let me know!

Since you haven't had any responses yet, I'll pitch in my limited two cents. We don't do golf tournaments, but we do have corporate sponsor teams on our 5K runs. We find it best to enter the additional team registrants as “guests” unless they are paying separately. If you enter as “guests”, they will already be grouped in the system, so the seating feature may not be required. However, if you are needing something more visual, or want the ability to mix and rearrange team members, you certainly could use the seating function well for such a purpose.

    Good luck!

  • @Sam Berry I think if people do know the names of their participants, it's helpful to get that information when they pay for the foursome, but I really like the option for users to indicate that they do not know who will be attending.

It looks like you can only add one constituent code to records being created through the form, so whatever you choose there will transfer through (unless I'm mistaken).

That said, I don't know why you would use the seating option for a golf event. I've really only seen that used for dinners and even then I've seen a lot of organizations opt to track seating outside of RE altogether. Do you have a specific reason why you want to use that functionality for this event?
