Power automate flow with Every x time period for online gifts that aren't committed daily

Options

We currently do not commit gifts received online to the RE NXT database every day, but the date added on the gift is the date of the transaction and not when it was committed to the database.

It seems like all of the Power Automate templages for gift work flows use the “Every x time period” to get new gifts entered from the day before. Has anyone found a work around to not miss gifts that have a “date added” of more than 1 day ago but not duplicate the automation for gifts received more recently?

this is in many's opinion, a bug by Blackbaud web batch processing, but it is not fixed.

The way I handle this is, I created a webhook on gift created, so whenever a web batch is approved, every gift will be triggering the flow. In the flow, I “copy” all the data from the gift, including any custom fields, and recreate the gift record (as well as apply our gift coding standards for Gift Subtype, Campaign, Fund, Appeal, Package, Reference) and delete the gift that was created by the web batch. This way, we have correct “date_added” property for daily gift digest.

@Matthew Young - If you don't want to do Alex's method, you can expand the “x time period” to a larger range that would catch these gifts and then employ a gift attribute to tag a gift when it appears in your flow so it isn't included in a later run.

Agree - this is one of the more annoying things about gifts that come in through WV.

Great ideas Austen and Alex, I'll give that a try!
