Looking for ways other than manual check in for the system.

  • @Keith Fechtman We use Event.gives for e-ticketing. They also do online auctions, ticket sales and donations. The only downside is they use Stripe instead of BBMS.

I don't think there is a platform that integrates with RE NXT directly. With SKY API, you can do this integrated with RE NXT, but you will have to (or use a partner) code the integration.

The idea is to have a “back-end” app, that takes in the “id” of the registration (for security sake, you probably want to “encypt” the id in a unique way. generates the QR code to the back-end app that takes in the “id” and when scanned, will check in the guest (or produce error that the guest has already checked in, reuse of ticket). Not too hard, but isn't an easy thing to do neither if you aren't familiar with SKY API already

  • @Alex Wong Thanks for the help. It looks like I will just have to manually check them in for now on my phone or ipad.

We are currently looking at Almabase Events module which is directly integrated with RE NXT and apparently does do that, but if that is all you are looking to do is get a QR code and not invest in a new Events module, then I am not aware of anything that will do that other than create your own QR code to a form and/or use a Form to check in people that you will be able to get the backend CVS file after the event.

  • @Keith Fechtman Almabase may be worth looking into. They have more robust event registration checkout and very easy QR-code check-in with a bi-directional sync to RENXT. Their email marketing for events is really easy to set up and they have additional alumni engagement modules you could grow into. I'd be happy to chat.
