Constituent status on event record

Struggling with constituents who somewhere in the past, were marked as inactive, and now register for an event. Currently there's no way of knowing from a registration if a constituent is active or inactive. So I've posed this to the idea bank and welcome other's thoughts/votes:
It would be awesome and so convenient for the constituent status to be an optional column on the participants list in an event record. By including that column, I could see if a registrant's current status is inactive, and go about updating it to active. Please vote!

  • @Leslie McGeady does your organization consider these constituents as “active” or valid to re-engage with? I would recommend your team not use this field as this field does not react to new data Eg updated address or giving etc. I see your point from a data management perspective but you may need to integrate a data integrity checkpoint.

Thanks for your input. We rarely use ‘inactive’. Primarily only if a constituent requests no contact with us. We attempt to re-engage unless we hear otherwise. That's why it would be helpful when reviewing an event registration, to know if they are in fact marked as inactive. If they chose to register they are re-engaging.

@Leslie McGeady I think I understand your point from a technical perspective, but I think you may still need to consider a maintenance query to just check for these periodically. Having the column helps you see it, but some may still fall through the cracks.
