Events and Venmo

Good morning!

Payments for event registrations only permit cash, check or credit card. Does anyone have experience using Venmo as payment? We have a Venmo link on our giving page and that works fine. I understand that a Venmo transaction could be initiated for on-site tickets, but how would that payment be linked to their registration? Is there a work-around?

@Leslie McGeady - The PayPal/Venmo integration through Blackbaud is only available as a payment option on Blackbaud Forms that have Blackbaud Checkout enabled. There is no way to offer this as a payment option say through MobilePay.

I recommend you have an tablet or computer available at your event on-site that can be used to run same-day registrations through your current event registration form. This way registrants will be able to utilize this additional payment option.

Thanks Austen. We are not yet setup with PayPal. My workaround thought is to do onsite registration and keep track of those who pay with Venmo. Then after the fact we can edit their record to show payments as a cash transaction.
